Sage has been racing at the top level in World Ultra and Mountain Races for over 10 years whilst frequently transitioning over to running road marathons at a very high level with a personal best of 2:16 in 2011 and a 16th position in the 2016 Boston marathon running 2:19 which Sage rates as one of his best performances due to the less than perfect weather conditions and time spent running solo. Sage has won numerous trail races around the world and competed in the most iconic and toughest races on the calendar such as UTMB and Western States. Sage chats about his training in general and what he feels he needs to do to run a Sub 2:19 in Houston on January 19th to qualify to run the US Olympic Trials Marathon in February.
